On Chesil Beach remains one of my favourite books since I first studied it years ago. McEwan writes with such linguistic power that I am always blown away by his words, and this is especially poignant in this novel, which is about communication and the lack thereof. Every sentence in this book is written with care and meaning – a truly remarkable and emotional read that will leave you feeling all the feelings!
